Hi, I'm Gemma

I'm Gemma Quinn, the face behind the camera at Quinn Photography. I'm based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, where I live with my husband Matthew, our two daughters Elizabeth and Charlotte, and our black lab Peppa (who would absolutely come to your wedding if you'd let her).

I graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2015 with a degree in photography, but my real journey began in 2018 when some close friends asked me to photograph their wedding. From the moment I captured their day, I was hooked.

Wedding photography quickly became more than a job, it's my passion. I'm all about documenting real emotions, unscripted moments, and all the joy that makes your day so uniquely yours.

How I Shoot

I'm all about candid, colourful, relaxed photography. That means no stiff poses, no awkward lineups, and absolutely no one standing in a field looking uncomfortable.

I want your photos to feel natural, like a friend with a camera captured your best moments without you even noticing. I'll guide you when you need it (especially for couple shots, I promise it won't feel weird), but mostly I'll be in the background, capturing the laughter, the tears, the glances, and all the beautiful in-between.

What I think sets my work apart is the genuine connection I build with the couples I photograph. Every love story is different, so I take the time to get to know you and how you picture your day.

When I'm not photographing weddings, you'll find me running around after Elizabeth and Charlotte, walking Peppa, or convincing Matthew that we definitely need another dog. I'm a sucker for a good sunset, a strong coffee, and any wedding that has a dog as ring bearer.

I love what I do, genuinely. Every wedding is different, every couple is different, and that's what keeps me excited about picking up my camera.
